sao paulo-iguassu

hey people spose we have started travelling properly now, we left cancun just over a week ago and flew in to sao paulo arriving EARLY on tuesday morning to find our hostel had NO beds so we kipped on´t sofa which turned out pretty handy as we saved on a nights accomodation. we walked around sao paulo a bit but after a couple of days decided we needed to get on to bigger things. everyone we met raved about a place called florianopolis, an island in the south so we got on a bus and 16hours later we were there. beaches were nice but we got there slightly out of season and the weather turned a bit, still enjoyed ourselves and sand boarding was dutty.

so we packed up again and jumped on a bus to iguassu falls (the biggest waterfalls in the americas..probably) anyway another 16hours later we arrived and spent a couple of days looking at the falls from the brazilian and argentinian side as it cuts both borders. these falls are MASSIVE, we put some pics up so maybe u can get an idea of the size but u´ll probably just have to trust us they are fucking HUGE.

so we are leaving iguassu now to go to some swamp land place where u go piranha fishing and croc wrestling, should be fun! peace for now, keep posting comments we really appreciate it and enjoy hearing from you all!

Cancun

Hey Amigos

We´re in downtown Cancun at the moment, thats east coast Mexico for those who didn´t know. Wanna say a big thank you for everyone who posted happy birthday, and a slightly smaller one for those who just thought it. Willem and Oran did a sneaky, and got me a very cool pair of shorts as well as a fat birthday cake, but our dorm fan blew half the candles out, nevermind eh. We arrived here on Monday from Miami, which we grew to enjoy but it was time to leave. Mexico is very different, and our limited spanish has been put to the test. The food is good, and everything is really cheap, we´ve been eating big meals with soup and a drink for about 30 pesos which is about 1 pound 50. You can get a 6 pack of beers for the same price.

Here´s one we muuurked earlier.

We´re in Downtown so there´s not many tourists around town and we´re living a bit like the mexicans do. The beaches are amazing, especially on this little island called Isle Mujares (island of women) which we took a short boat trip to a couple days ago.

Willems sunburn is clearing up and him and oran spend their mornings peeling skin of each other. sexy.
Next monday we´re off to Brazil to do some serious travelling but until then its a bit more of drinking, sleeping, beaching, eating. Hope England is fun and the weather is nice!

Miami on a very thin shoestring

4 days in and here's the crack: our goal for this week in Miami is to spend as little as we possibly can so we've been scrimping and saving in places you didn't think you could. Our resourcefulness and eye for a bargain has surprised even ourselves. We spent 80 cents each on dinner last night!!! Super noodles all the way baby. Some other bargains we picked up, beach towels for $4. We're not doing too bad on the food front, night before last we ate bread rolls with crisps and twix, more filling than you may think. Our pikeyness hit an all time high in the food court of the shopping mall on tuesday, they all give out free tasters of their chicken, so we did a circuit of the whole food court, kept us going for a good few hours.

Miami is quite dead, we probably see more Hummers on the roads than people. We asked where everyone was but no one knows. There's a bigger Latin population here than American, so we probably would have got further if we knew Spanish. The beach was okay, spent the whole day on it yesterday, Willem is sunburnt up to the bollocks, red patches all over the place, I'm quite bad too but we're hardcore and we wanted to get sunburnt to build up resistance. Today we're feeling the pain so it might be about staying indoors.

So the story begins...

Hi everyone, as our first day in Miami is drawing to a close, we found the money to power up this internet to make our first post, no pictures yet though but watch this space!

After letting us on the plane, then getting onto the runway to take off, we found our aircraft doing a U-ey back to the stand because someone was having a nose bleed! 90 mins later, our plane took off. Once we landed, there was of course another delay, our plane had to be TOWED to the stand. Customs was fun, Zenna and Oran could not fill out the form properly, Oran was called a Paki, Willem got through fine.

The next major challenges that faced us was getting OUT of Miami Airport (proved difficult for us), geting some cash (1 shitty charging cash machine in the WHOLE AIRPORT!), finding the right bus to catch, getting CHANGE as buses want exact money! We had a nice walk after the bus journey to our hostel, it looks aite, we then went and saw the beach while the sun was setting. Due to the fact that our day is 6 hours longer than yours, we've lost the energy to finsih this post on a high. We'll see what tomorrow brings...Peace
